JAZ (21)

Name Origin: It came with the boat. We think it's an acronym as it's all CAPS. Our best guess is "Just Another Zombie".
Crew Adventures: Between us we've campaigned an IOR 2-tonner for a season of RORC offshore events in the UK, raced to Hawaii dozens of times on the Pac Cup, Transpac, and Vic-Maui (the last half of which was completed rudderless) campaigned a Martin 242 on the Lake Superior offshore circuit, won the US San Juan 21 Nationals and LOWISA - Northern Ontario's version of the Van Isle 360 - on Lake of the Woods. A couple of us also delivered a Jeanneau 43 from the BVIs to Galveston against its will and our better judgment.
Racing History: We bought the boat in 2008. Since then we've done half a dozen Swiftsures, the 2008-10 Southern Straits, several Around Saltspring races, and the 2009 Van Isle 360. We last raced Swiftsure in 2012 when we took 1st place in the Cape Flattery Heavy Division with our 8-year old son on foredeck. He's back for with another four years' worth of wisdom on his brow.
