March 2, 2026 – Registration opens
April 3 – Early bird registration deadline
May 15 – Deadline for registration and rating changes
May 21 @ 14:00 – Inner Harbour moorage & Check-in commences
May 22 @ 14:00 – Skippers Meeting and 2025 Award presentation, weather & currents briefing at Royal Victoria Yacht Club
May 22 @18:00 – Check-in closes
May 23 @ 09:00 – Warning flag for first race off Clover Point
Swiftsure Racer Key Dates 2026
Thursday, May 21
- Skippers’ Check-in at Swiftsure Centre 14:00-18:00 (2:00 – 6:00 PM)
Friday, May 22
- Skippers’ Check-in at Swiftsure Centre opens at 10:00 AM
- Skippers’ Meeting and 2025 Prize Giving starting at 2:00 PM at the Royal Victoria Yacht Club (3475 Ripon Rd., Victoria, BC)
- Skippers’ Check-in at Swiftsure Centre closes at 6:00 PM
Saturday, May 23 – Swiftsure 2026 Races begin
- Clover Point is the best location for shoreside viewing of the six starts
- 8:00 AM; Pancake breakfast at Clover Point begins courtesy of Central Saanich Lions Club
- Live broadcast from Clover Point of the race and start procedures
- First starts from 9:00 AM for the Three Long Courses followed by the start of the Inshore Races
- Inshore Races finish at Cadboro Bay with free moorage and a no-host barbecue, Awards and tunes at the Royal Victoria Yacht Club
- Ogden Point has good viewing for the public from Saturday evening through Sunday for boats finishing the Three Long Courses
Time Limits:
- Swiftsure Lightship Classic, 08:00 hrs. Monday morning, May 25th
- Cape Flattery & Juan de Fuca Races, 24:00 hrs. midnight Sunday, May 24th
